Gluman

The brief: For the past seven years, we have been helping Gluman (a unit of Precision Moulds and Dies) design packaging and catalogues for their extensive homeware product range. The challenge was to create vibrant packaging that was categorised differently in accordance with price tiers and varying target audiences while still maintaining brand recognition through common design elements.

The process started with shooting the products in stylised settings for packaging. For the catalogue, these images were offset with more industrial photographs to clarify the specifics of each product. Everything was then catalogued with a carefully numbered and colour coded system for easy navigation for buyers at international trade fairs.

The same thing was collated again in a smaller format for local retailers.

Premium products were shot in settings.

On the go products had a cleaner more functional vibe – but were unified with the other ranges through colour and common branding elements.

Gluman also designs licensed products for children. A wide range of items from lunch boxes to toothbrush holders and hangers to sippers were branded with Cartoon Network elements for mass appeal.
